Academy Teacher wins composition contest

Nicholas Ryan Kelly, the Academy’s composition and theory teacher, is the winner of The Grand Philharmonic Choir’s inaugural composition contest for composers 30 and under. The world premiere of Nick’s winning composition, “Celestial Dream” was performed by the Choir on February 10, 2018 in Kitchener, Ontario, adding to Nick’s many accomplishments.

Note: Nick will be conducting his new piece featuring voice, flute, piano, and cello, composed especially for the Faculty Concert. Join us on March 17, 2018, 7:30 p.m. at St. Saviour’s Church for this special event.
